Job Description

The Department of Business and Economics at Lebanon Valley College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Economics beginning August 2018. This full-time, three-year, renewable term position (with the potential for conversion to tenure track) requires a Ph.D. in Economics (consideration will be given to ABD candidates with anticipated completion date for PhD within a year of joining). The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the introductory level as well as upper-level electives. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach upper-level electives in finance/behavioral concentration such as corporate finance, money and banking, behavioral finance etc. The successful candidate will also be expected to establish an undergraduate research program. Candidates with experience in innovative teaching pedagogies and learning technologies are encouraged to apply. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, description of research plans, three confidential letters of reference, and unofficial undergraduate and graduate transcripts through .
Review of materials will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Interviews will be conducted at the ASSA annual meeting in Philadelphia in January 2018.
