In 2016, CRRC Sifang America was awarded a contract, for up to $1.3 billion, by the CTA to supply more than 840 new railcars. CRRC Sifang America believes Chicago’s new railcars should be built locally and will hire and train local residents for more than 160 good-paying, head-of-household jobs.
Under general supervision, plan, organize and control production in an organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard. Ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently. Have a deep know-how in production procedures.
The ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving and ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
+ Plan and organize day-to-day shopfloor operation
+ Establish production schedules periodically in accordance to Master Schedule
+ Develop and implement production procedure and policy
+ Oversee production processes and resolve issues
+ Coordinate production with distribution, warehousing, Q&T department and other departments to meet production goal
+ Control production quality and manage production costs
+ Internal materials selecting, ordering and purchasing
+ Coordinate the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
+ Evaluate performance and involve with hiring and terminating of production personnel
+ Organize relevant training sessions
+ Respond to the needs of the main office and report to upper management
+ Other duties as assigned
+ Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
+ Minimum 5 years of progressive experience with managing/overseeing production activities in railcar building, aviation, or heavy trucking assembly industry
+ Familiar with manual assembly process and unionized environment
+ Proficient in MS Office software; proficient in ERP systems preferred
+ Ability to set up new policies and procedures
+ Leadership skills
