Provide clinical care and services for hospitalized patients. Serve as leader of the inpatient team to ensure quality, cost effective care for hospitalized patients and meet established bed/day goals. Maintain strong rapport with hospital, primary care physicians, specialists and ancillary providers in order to affect quality care. Professionally represent hospital and HSHS Medical Group to physician community. Actively participate in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review activities. Develop and present clinical reviews of best practices of common admission diagnoses for department and hospital staff. Actively interface with current provider network and identify and recommend opportunities for improvement. Actively participate in departmental committees.
