The Quality Assurance Technician?s primary responsibility is to assist is the execution of quality processes and procedures in support of Vital Proteins Quality Assurance program. The Quality Assurance Technician will carry out the company vision and mission through his work, as an integral part of the Vital Proteins team. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Specialists and Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician will operate out of the Vital Proteins production facility in Franklin Park.


+ Pull samples of raw materials, work in progress materials, and finished products

+ Perform quality checks on incoming raw materials, packaging components, and labels

+ Perform quality checks during production and assist with batch production records

+ Maintain a clean and safe working environment

+ Report any process errors, product failures, or deviations to supervisors

+ Execute all process in accordance with company standard operating procedures and cGMP

+ Other duties as assigned


+ Have a high school diploma/GED (required)

+ High attention to detail

+ Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment

+ 2 – 3 years of prior experience in a quality role, food manufacturing preferred

+ Experience working in a GMP environment for food or supplements

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ You are passionate about the health, fitness, and/or beauty markets

+ Can lift 25-50 lbs. on occasion

+ Able to work occasional weekends, holidays, and evenings
