As part a member of CDM Smith’s Career Reboot Re-Entry Program you will spend 12 weeks working with peers in your career discipline on active projects. You will set goals for your program and present to your team at the end of your program what you have taken away from your experience.

Reboot has three Program Cycles – when you apply please pick the cycle in which you would like to be considered:

Cycle 1: January – March

Cycle 2: May – July

Cycle 3: September – November

As part of the Mechanical Engineering discipline, you will be working on a team completing the design of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems for technically challenging facility design projects. Your responsibilities with CDM Smith will include:

• Designing and managing the design of complex building mechanical systems under the direction of a Senior Engineer.

• Prepare and check engineering calculations, including heat loads, ventilation and energy calculations.

• Prepare plans and write specifications for bidding and construction

• Initiate and participate in project coordination with the electrical, structural, process, instrumentation and architectural disciplines.

• Prepare engineering studies and reports.

• Prepare energy conservation studies, energy modeling, and energy audits for commercial and industrial clients

• Work with clients and project managers to prepare scope for project proposals

Minimum Qualifications:

To participate in CDM Smith’s REBOOT program you must be on a current career break of two or more years.

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering is required.

3 years minimum years of experience since your Bachelor’s degree.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
