Job Description

HARTING, Inc. of North America is urgently seeking an Industry Segment Manager: Automation. In this role, you will be responsible for the industry-specific sales and development strategy, implementation, and growth by performing the following duties:

Utilize an existing deep knowledge of the automation industry in North America to craft a go-to-market strategy that includes outside sales, distribution, key account management, and marketing communications.
Plan and conduct market research (reports, publications, direct customer interface, networking, etc.) to identify targeted applications and sub segments that represent opportunities for increased sales and technology development.
Educate, align, and motivate cross-functional departments to execute the defined strategy and achieve results.
Develop strong engineering-based networks with market leaders, end users, and standards committees within the automation industry segment to promote acceptance and standardization of the HARTING technology portfolio.
Engage with local and global colleagues to collaborate, align, and drive market growth in accordance with HARTING’s strategic market penetration goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in electrical engineering or related field.
4-7 years related experience in the automation industry.
Previous experience in team or market development strongly preferred.
Up to 60% travel
Valid passport required for occasional international travel
