Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants enabling enterprises to make smarter decisions and providing unparalleled client and consumer experiences in cognitive, data analytics, cloud technology and mobile app development.
Cloud Application Innovation (CAI) is part of IBM’s Global Business Services organization and is responsible for delivering application development and maintenance, Application migration to Cloud, Application modernization, Custom and Enterprise Apps (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc) development and management, and Application portfolio rationalization services for client.
We are currently seeking am Industry Business Development Executive (BDE) for Life Sciences – Pharma and Bio Tech industries. The BDE acts as the primary sales executive responsible for identifying and qualifying Cloud Application Innovation (CAI) opportunities in new logos.
Role responsibilities include:
+ Identify white space/ new logo accounts and qualify them for CAI service offering opportunities.
+ Work closely with our clients and in cooperation with other IBM sellers and business partners.
+ Should have experience in consultative selling, building client relationships, leading sales efforts in white space accounts, leading meetings and delivering presentations.
+ The other responsibilities include:
+ establish client credibility via industry, technology and consulting skills
+ identify trends and business opportunities by researching industry related events and publications, social networking, and other sources
+ work with client to co-create new business models and IT value
+ generate client value proposition, gain client consensus and drive opportunities
+ lead and / or participate in client-facing sales meetings and own the sales responsibilities for the meeting
+ develop and deliver client facing sales presentations at the C-suite Executives
+ develop and maintain a qualified long-term sales pipeline
+ provide qualitative and quantitative pipeline reporting
Success is measured by the following business metrics:
+ Identifying, Validating and Qualifying opportunities in CAI offerings
+ Leading sales cycle up to new contract signing
+ Pipeline Coverage
Prior experience in identifying, shaping and selling opportunities in:
+ Application Development and Maintenance services
+ Application migration/ transformation to Cloud
+ Application portfolio optimization, rationalization, modernization (cloud/ non-cloud)
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
Required Professional and Technical Expertise with 8+ years in following areas:
+ Selling and delivering consulting services
+ Experience in negotiation skills on large deals
+ Proposal writing and presentation material development and delivery
+ Good understanding of Life Science/Healthcare industries and eco-systems
+ Experience in managing multi-Line of Business (LOB), and multi-discipline pursuits
