Job Description

Our client, a top international Oil & Gas firm, is currently seeking a Pricing Specialist for a 6+ month temporary position with the opportunity for an extension. The position is located in Warrenville, IL.

Job Description:

+ Provide contract pricing setup and support for business unit segments for customers

+ Analyze, understand, and transfer information from legal contracts into the appropriate systems coordinating with sales teams in order to ensure accurate contract setups (effective dates, allocations, products, pricing quotes and surcharges)

+ Identify gaps in current support processes, create and document work-around solutions for gaps identified or when standard troubleshooting fails. These gaps or issues may require in-depth analysis and working with other parties closely to resolve. Provide recommendations for permanent solutions

+ Interact with Partners and 3rd party vendors to ensure they our serving our customers in an accurate and timely manner and share knowledge across the team

+ Participate and/or lead projects for new initiatives or enhancements

+ Perform and /or coordinate user acceptance testing for SAP, PROS, TABS, bpConnection, Siebel, WDE and other systems

+ Maintain ongoing modifications to contracts in PROS system which will include the maintenance of multiple tables of data elements to support and ensure the accurate execution of the contracts

+ Coordinate the contract set up in the systems with the BPO Accenture team.

+ Train the BPO team on new processes or new functionality.

+ Create test invoices for contract price changes to all customers and obtain written approval

+ Analyze, determine root cause and apply appropriate resolution for complex customer pricing issues

+ Participate in the Root Cause Investigation activities to help reduce cancel/rebills and provide feedback to the RCI Core team

+ Constant management of product changeovers, supply disruptions, bankruptcies, natural disasters, and RVP changes

+ Proactively identify and develop process improvement opportunities

+ Create and maintain documentation of all GBS contract pricing related processes

+ Collaborate with customer master, scheduling, transaction control, tax, credit, sales, account management specialists, and terminals to ensure successful go live (no pricing/loading issues)


+ Contract knowledge and experience

+ Strong systems knowledge (Siebel, PROS, TABS, TMS, TDS, OPDS2, SCDB)

+ Customer and product knowledge preferred

+ Experience in managing project related task

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field

+ 2-5 years B2B Contact pricing, or commercial account management or supply/allocation (invoicing/accounting/customer master)

+ Experience in Customer Service environment

+ Experience in managing project related tasks

+ Strong research and analytical experience

+ Strong SAP knowledge required

+ Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office)

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
