Mobile Device Management Technical Delivery Director

job summary:

Randstad Technologies seeks an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to drive program and project team work streams working with mobile device platform adoption, enhancements and maturity. The MDM (mobile device management) platforms used are Airwatch and InTune so someone with hands on experience with one or either of these platforms is highly regarded, but not required. You will work with the teams who make mobile device management work for the thousands of retail locations across the US and it’s territories.

+ Duties will include leading team work breakdown sessions for requirements.

+ Acting as a SME for the MDM (mobile device management) platform (Airwatch or InTune) You can also be involved in third party vendor management and selection processes.

+ Manages large, complete projects to achieve key business objective goals.

+ Creates, monitors, and updates project plan.

+ Assists the ITPMO and IT managers with resource planning including project staffing.

+ Provides management and strategic direction to cross-functional project teams.

+ Communication is essential and not allowing teams to point to others saying it is there problem.

+ Accountable for managing project budget and schedule.

+ Reviews and may provide input into the project/technical scope definition. Coordinates development and approval of the business and technical requirements documents.

+ Proactively works with project teams to identify project risks and issues. Assists with the resolution of issues/risks and escalates when appropriate.

+ Represents the company with contractors, suppliers, business partners and other parties as required.

+ Leads activities of project teams to ensure project progress is on schedule and within budget. Recommends and makes adjustments to the project plan and staffing.

+ Owns understanding of the business value of the project and ensures the solution being provided meets the values prescribed.

+ Effectively monitors, measures, and communicate project status to project stakeholders and executives.


+ While this role is primarily application development focused, the candidate must have an understanding of both infrastructure with an in-depth knowledge of application development and integration. More specifically, when you look at the interconnected devices in a retail pharmacy (like point of sale devices, scanners, scales, and PCs), the application layer is impacted by the various connected systems and devices. Since the application functionality is interconnected with the infrastructure, the candidate must understand hardware related dependencies, issues, and risks.

+ Extensive experience developing a project plan including the charter, scope, project management

+ approach, management plans, financial forecast and schedule.

+ Extensive experience in working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels

+ Experience managing project budgets of at least $5M

+ Strong communication skills

+ Strong leadership skills

+ Solid problem solving and analysis skills

+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

+ Experience with multiple project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, etc.

+ Experience in working for IT PMO and matrixed environment

+ IT project management with App Dev and Infrastructure blended experience

+ Understands and can lead impact analysis to existing system integrations


+ The candidate’s communication skills must be at an executive level. Meaning she/ he is experienced translating complex technical concepts, issues, and risks concisely to technical and non-technical audiences. Someone who is long winded or who cannot communicate concisely will have challenges.

+ The candidate must have a technical background as a developer or admin (system or network). It is key to have a technical understanding in order to question the information provided by the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ PMP, CSM certification preferred

+ BS in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent degree/ experience

+ Pharmacy IT/ application experience

+ Agile experience – preferred
