Position Highlights:
+ Serves as a Community Outreach liaison in the Rush Community Service Initiatives Program reporting to the Associate Provost- Academic Affairs.
+ The position works with students, faculty, staff, community partners and families throughout the Chicagoland area.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Spend a minimum of four hours each month reviewing activities and collecting the data and feedback of clinical or non-clinical programs (i.e, Community Health Clinic, RU Caring, Franciscan, Freedom Center, BUDDIES, Saturday’s with Seniors, etc.).
+ Responsibilities include: being the liaison between Rush and the community partner, scheduling general volunteers, contacting faculty, securing the necessary supplies and resources for the program.
+ Researches educational materials and opportunities for the programs.
+ Explores the opportunities for students scholarly projects based on their community service experiences
+ Performs needs assessments for the programs.
+ Tracks and evaluates program success.
+ Performs related work as requested.
Position Qualifications Include:
+ Bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled Rush University student
+ Knowledge of database and spreadsheet preferred.
+ Must have excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. Intern must have strong organizational skills.
+ Must be able to work independently, maintain sound judgment, and communicate effectively with a variety of individuals ranging from staff, community partners and representatives.
+ Database experience preferred, but not required.
