These standards are evident in the daily work, which includes assessing, planning, directing and evaluating the delivery of nursing care for the 3-11 or 11-7 shift and in the absence of the Clinical director on 7-3 shift, and acting as the administrative representative of the hospital during the off shifts and weekends.

Managing staffing for the next shift, patient complaints, ensuring quality and safe care, manage any conflicts between staff, manage physician relationship needs, if there is any administrative issue they are the first responders to those. For example, patient in ED, no money, need to take ambulance to another town, ambulance won’t take them unless we know they will pay. Someone on property who shouldn’t be there, trailer parked in lot that shouldn’t be, fire, casualty, tornado, notify administrator on call. Work with dietary to get supplied.
This is a magnet facility – work in the organization to encourage nurses to make decisions.
Requirements for this position include:
- RN IL.
- CPR certification.
- BSN preferred.
- Three to five years of clinical exp.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities.
- Demonstrates communication skills.
