Job Description:

This group leads the Enterprise Marketing Procurement function globally for the client and provides indirect procurement support for all Marketing functions within the company as well as supports other supplier categories such as Print, Training and Consulting.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
-Serve as the primary contact between the company and the supply base for global/regional initiatives, including commercial discussions/negotiations with suppliers.
-Evaluate, develop and approve suppliers as required for Enterprise Marketing Category.
-Conduct RFI/RFP/RFQ sourcing events.
-Responsible for development, management and execution of the global category strategy managing policies, commercial agreements, source catalogs, and special procurement programs.
-Approve purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
-Collaborate with internal business unit partners to support regional/global supplier sourcing initiatives.

Typical Day:
-There is no typical day in a buyer role in procurement. It includes negotiating with suppliers, gathering internal requirements from business unit stakeholders, providing updated to stakeholders and reviewing contracts with internal teams or legal. Reviewing requisitions and supplier statements of work in procurement system and issuing purchase orders.
-Responsible for tracking cost savings. Support supplier onboarding process.
-Follow purchase and enterprise practices.

Education Requirement:
Bachelor’’s degree from a college or university.

Technical Skills Required:
Basic understanding of business and strategy/planning and overall understanding of category management.

Preferred:
2 or more years of experience in procurement of Marketing, Engineering, Consulting, IT or other indirect products and services.
Previous category team and/or product team experience.

Soft Skills Required:
-Well-developed interpersonal skills are needing in dealing with sensitive issues and reaching consensus on specific actions.
-Self-starter, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
-Demonstrated consulting and problem-solving skills.
-Functional leadership with the ability to direct teams, suppliers and customers to solutions.
-Analytical, problem solving, project leadership expertise.
-Effective communicator, in written and oral form.
-Finely honed negotiations skills, able to interpret, analyze and negotiate contractual cost element.
-Maintain knowledge of current marketing trends, vendor capabilities and changes within the category landscape for traditional and emerging solutions.
-Manage and optimizing supplier performance including contract compliance, continuous improvement, innovations and reductions in total cost of ownership.
