As an Senior Support Consultant for the Wealth Management IT Support, you will closely collaborate with Development teams driving Support Transitions ‘from Project’ to ‘Support’ teams, aid in the architecture modernization and Digital Transformation redesign initiatives for Northern Trust’s Client Facing Applications utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
What You Will Do
The Senior Support Consultant is a collaborative team player who has willingness to learn and improve supportability of Client facing applications, improve Client experience and contributes to the team’s overall success:
? Contributes to an open agile culture that enables employees’ development through kind and candid feedback, promotes diverse perspectives and fosters a sense of curiosity and optimism.
? Coordinates and engages with Development, Architecture and other IT teams to transition support services of Micro Services to the Support Teams.
? Collaborates with global technology teams located in Chicago and India, meeting and exceeding short and long-term, tactical and strategic priorities.
? Collaborates with architects and development teams to identify priorities, assist to build a strategic client-centered solution and Support applications.
? Familiar with ITIL Process and Project methodologies. Assists and drives teams with Change Management process and project release.
? Coordinates with onsite and offshore Managed Services provider to Support new and existing applications and drive continuous improvement effort.
? Ensures compliance and identifies and escalates risks, with an eye toward change control procedures, IT Process and data security.
? Provides day to day and critical incident Support (Production Issues) for all Wealth Management Applications.
As an Application Senior Support Consultant, you must have experience with at least some of the following:
? 4+ years of application development/Support experience using modern technical frameworks and architecture, including collaboration with external technology teams
? Support experience with multi-channel applications (web, mobile, API, etc.)
? Understanding of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and/or other methodologies
? Experience working on projects in an Agile/XP environment
? Experience using at least some of the following technologies:
The following nice-to-haves represent just a few of the other experiences that may be relevant to this position:
? Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent major
? Experience in Financial Services
? Experience working effectively with diverse groups around the world, including IT management, technology staff, business partners, consultants, vendors and clients
