SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Coordinator is a full-time, entry-level sales position that offers broad exposure to the lead generation, nurturing, and sales process of a midsized, growing software company within the healthcare industry. This position is an excellent starting point for a sales career or other opportunities at Orchard Software, and the primary duty of this entry-level inside sales position is working via the telephone to generate and cultivate sales leads that turn into appointments and product demonstrations. This position is designed to expose you to the laboratory information system industry.
A Sales Coordinator works closely with the marketing department and the sales reps in their territories to generate and nurture leads. As part of the lead generation and nurturing process, this position will also include writing letters and fulfilling requests for information, utilizing a sales/contact manager database (CRM), attending trade shows, putting together proposal binders, etc. Applicant must be goal oriented and self-motivated; be proficient with the computer; have good written and oral communications skills; focus on the details; enjoy working with and talking to people over the telephone; be capable of multi-tasking and working with a variety of people; and be a team player, dependable, flexible, organized, friendly, and professional.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience with SalesLogix by Sage or other sales/contact management database a plus
Previous lead generation, sales, and/or account management experience a plus
Able to speak comfortably over the telephone to generate and nurture sales leads
Excellent written and oral communications skills; Self-motivated and goal oriented
Capable of multi-tasking and working with a variety of people
Strong computer skills are required with experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of the clinical laboratory and/or the LIS industry a plus
Typical office environment, able to sit and do computer work up to 80% of the time, must be able to move in and out of laboratory environments. Domestic travel required, up to 5% of the time to trade shows and with sales reps. Must be able to do physical activity approximately 5% of the time assisting with packing, set-up and tear-down of trade show exhibits.
