The Server Administrator will collaborate with Information Technology team members and other senior staff to manage and support the company s Windows server environment. This role will work with IT subject matter experts to maintain as well as enhance the server environment in a stable manner in order to facilitate the goals of the organization. A dynamically changing environment exposes the Server Administrator to new technology and provides constant learning opportunities. This role will also play a key part in the adoption and implementation of a hybrid cloud strategy.
What we need from you:
Minimum 2 years experience with administration of Windows Server 2012 or later
Strong verbal communication skills to work with internal clients and vendors
Excellent technical writing skills
Proficient with Windows PowerShell Scripting
Experience with server and storage hardware configuration
Experience with Microsoft System Center and Hyper-V
Experience with management of Windows DHCP, DNS, Direct Access
Knowledge of Security management using Active Directory and Group Policy.
Knowledge of Windows Server Architecture, Installation, Services settings and configuration, and patching
Experience with Linux server management a plus
What we need you to do:
Maintain the server environment by applying necessary updates and patches
Maintain Windows server security to ensure the stability of the environment
Manage and monitors server performance and health
Manage and updates server configuration standards
Assist with the installation and maintenance of server application software packages
Assist with the creation of client application deployment packages
Assist with management and monitoring of DHCP, DNS and Group Policy
Installation and configuration of new and replacement server and storage hardware
Some travel required

Ability to attend meetings at the various office, field, and construction sites
Ability to perform inspections of buildings and other structures, both visually and with instruments
Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform work in the temperature extremes presented by work in the outdoors
Ability to read construction drawings, diagrams, printed materials, and computer screens
Ability to record data clearly and write passages for reports, letters, etc.
Ability to travel
Ability to safely work at heights
Ability to safely use and/or operate ladders, scaffolds, lifts and other access equipment
Ability to understand and appreciate safety training specific to numerous workplace and construction hazards
Ability to safely work in a variety of occupationally hazardous locations
Medically fit to utilize respiratory protection devices and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment
Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicle
