Assist Principal Investigator \(PI\) in conducting numerical studies of non\-equilibrium plasma discharges and low\-temperature plasma ignition processes in internal combustion engines \(ICEs\)\.Use non\-equilibrium plasma multi\-dimensional solvers, perform multi\-dimensional plasma discharge simulations, and evaluate/develop CFD plasma ignition models, including analyzing data and reporting results\.The Candidate must have good knowledge of ignition processes in engines and a solid background in CFD\. The Candidate is also required to have a good knowledge of gas discharge physics, low\-temperature plasma ignition processes, and good expertise in non\-equilibrium plasma multi\-dimensional modeling\.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience/QualificationsMinimum Education/Experience Requirements:

Ph\.D\. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field and 0\-1 year of experience or equivalent\.

Additional Requirements:

1\. Considerable knowledge of gas discharge and low\-temperature plasma ignition processes\.

2\. Good knowledge of multi\-dimensional non\-equilibrium plasma solvers \(VizGlow or others\)\.

3\. Good knowledge of plasma ignition and combustion kinetics\.

4\. Good knowledge of engine multi\-dimensional modeling CFD tools\.

5 Good knowledge of advanced engines and fuels for transportation\.

6\. Good skill using Microsoft Office \(Word, Excel, PowerPoint\)\.

7\. Good skills in oral and written communications\.

8\. Good skill in working in a team environment\.

This level of knowledge and skill is typically achieved through achieved through a Ph\.D\. degree in engineering, with 0\-1 year of experience or equivalent\.
