As a Chemical Engineer in the PC&I group you will have a wide variety of responsibilities. They include:
-Executing the Process and Controls design work for UOP Schedule A projects. These time critical projects require that you work closely with the other discipline engineers as well as the Process Control Coordinator and project management.
-Leading the Process and Controls design work for multi-unit complexes, interacting with the project team, project managers, and the customer to ensure that UOP design standards are adhered to. In this aspect of the role you will be leading a team of instrument engineers as they execute the design work for the units.
-You will also be assigned to maintain and improve the Process Control and Instrumentation infrastructure for one or more of UOP’s technical offerings. In this role you will establish the design procedures, control philosophy and instrument selection to meet the process requirements.
-Other activities include working with the various equipment groups in UOP to translate our Schedule A packages into Equipment offerings for our customers, participating in industry group conferences and answering questions from field engineers relating to issues they have encountered.YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
+ 6+ Years of experience in instrumentation and process engineering.
+ 2+ years of plant commissioning experience.
+ Experience with process instrumentation design and application
+ Plant commissioning experience
+ An understanding of engineering principles and mathematics
+ Project management skill
+ Oral and written communication skills
+ Analytical and problem-solving ability
+ The ability to work as part of a team
