Job Summary

AECOM National Water Business Line is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager for major water pursuits and capital program assignments in excess of $1 Billion in the United States. Location TBD.

Typical Responsibilities:

+ Requires a demonstrated ability to effectively lead the Project Controls function on a large/complex program of capital works, including extensive experience in management processes for schedule, cost, document control, and reporting.

+ Understanding of best practice project procedures for Project Controls functions, including schedule management in MSProject and P6, cost control, change management, risk management, and document control.

+ Possesses proven knowledge of scope control and change management.Schedule:

+ Holds an expert understanding of schedule, critical path analysis, resource loading and leveling.

+ Oversees the setup and maintenance of accurate project and program schedules in both MS Project and P6.

+ Expert understanding of schedule resource loading and leveling at both project and program levels.

+ Knowledge of baseline schedule change management processes.

Cost:

+ Familiarity with typical cost management software including Oracle.

+ Expert in WBS structure, setup and maintenance.

+ Knowledge of baseline program budget change management processes.

Document Control:

+ Familiar with typical document control software, including use of SharePoint as the document control system.

+ Knowledgeable in document control best practices.

Reporting:

+ Has the ability to review and analyze project and program data and oversee the production of accurate progress/performance reports.

+ Can communicate effectively orally and in writing

+ Track record of producing accurate and succinct monthly reports and responding to adhoc client reporting requests.

+ Well versed in PMIS dashboard reporting and producing the data required to sustain such reporting.

+ Substantial experience in working with and managing teams of people in a consulting environment to solve issues and problems.

+ Proven ability to establish and maintain constructive client relationships.

+ Experience working with third-party project management platforms such as Proliance, eBuilder, PMWeb, etc. and configuring these systems to business processes and procedures.

+ Understanding of the concepts of integrating different systems and applications into a Program Management Information System (PMIS)

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience.

+ 15+ years of total experience with engineering, procurement and construction projects and operating industrial facilities.

+ 7+ years of experience leading a project controls function for a major program in excess of $1 Billion with cost, schedule and supervision of personnel responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Master’s degree in engineering, business or related field.

+ Experience in assurances (risk management, contracting, insurances, etc.) a plus.

+ Experience with both conventional and design-build contracting a plus.

+ PgMP certification
