Guidewire DevOps Engineer
Zurich is currently searching for an experienced Guidewire DevOps Engineer for our Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation program to work as part of the Underwriting transformation team out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
She/he will be responsible for all DevOps activities (automation, configuration, building, deployment, integration, and maintenance) in support of our Guidewire PolicyCenter platform in various production and non-production environments.
The candidate will be part of a fast-paced Agile development environment supporting continuous integrations and deployments of PolicyCenter application. We are seeking a professional who requires minimal supervision, can be part of a technical team, lead/mentor other team members, and is familiar with working within the Guidewire environment.
Client Internally Focused – The job’s core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients, usually at the line manager or employee level. May involve sharing subject matter expertise to others in the organization or supporting others in their efforts to deliver on our promise.
+ Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Database Analysis or Programming areaOR
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Database Analysis or Programming areaOR
+ Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Database Analysis or Programming areaAND
+ Experience working at multiple phases of database management
+ Insurance industry experience
+ Experience building and configuring Guidewire PolicyCenter application on a windows server platform
+ Diverse knowledge of Deployment Automation tools and best practices
+ Experience using software Configuration Management processes and tools such as Subversion and Jenkins
+ Experience with software development and diagnostic tools that support software check in/out, testing, etc.
+ Experience with scripts (PowerShell, etc.) and toolsets related to the automation of configuration and release management activities
+ Diverse understanding of custom/packaged applications, including knowledge of Web Servers, Application Servers, and Databases
+ Strong conflict resolution skills
