The Demand Planning (Supply Chain) Analyst will work closely with the Demand Planning Manger recommending specific data improvements to forecasting models and alternate formulations to support trend and un-planned demand. This role will be responsible for the development, quality and accuracy of the demand forecast for Business Units.

This fast-paced position requires direct partnership with business units and product management, internal international supply chain professionals, and external customers. You will achieve business results through analytics, project management and implementation of improvement opportunities.

Demand Planning is a highly visible group within Supply Chain, and ultimately is responsible for analyzing and forecasting item/component part demand for the purchasing of raw material and manufacturing of finished goods.

What you will be doing:

Maintain and update data In the Demand-Supply Planning System
Tracks and analyzes forecast variance/bias, and updates forecasts to improve accuracy
Update and maintain statistical models and data within the forecasting system
Conduct ad-hoc analyses and summarize data with recommendations and actions
Manage product lifecycles to reduce obsolescence and support strategies
Under the direction of the Manager, collaborate with key internal partners and external customers to directly impact KPI’s, best practices and support data signal integrity
Drive action to ensure alignment of demand consensus forecast through monthly S&OP process
What you will bring:

BS in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience
3 years or more of demand forecasting or other relevant supply chain management experience
APICS certified (American Production Inventory Certification Society) a plus.
Microsoft Office – Proficient in advanced level MS Excel a requirement. Access & PowerPoint a plus
Business intelligence (e.g. Business Objects) – database universes, report creation, reporting techniques
Strong project management experience
Ability to work across multiple, cross functional departments and teams in multiple time zones
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivating and a strong sense of urgency
Demonstrates effectiveness in managing multiple projects and managing day-to-day tasks
Ability to successfully communicate cross-functionally in an authoritative position when necessary
