Description
Senior Product Specialist, Fixed Income Product Development, FactSet Research Systems Inc., Chicago, IL: develop client workflows and proprietary content sets, as well as analytical fixed income pricing models and applications. Duties include: interact with FactSet sales’ team to help determine the business needs of its fixed income clients; develop specifications to translate the business needs into tasks for engineering; and work with engineers to fix bugs, test enhancements, and manage releases and coordinate client migrations. Provide first line of support for FactSet fixed income analytics by demonstrating fixed income calculations, algorithms and models. Research new products from market offerings on their features, specifications, pricing and risks. Develop execution plan and requirements to translate business needs. Will also create and execute qa and testing plans to ensure high quality products and collaborate with our internal communications group to document new releases and update training and marketing materials to communicate application features and benefits. Minimum requirements: master’s degree, or higher, or foreign equivalent in computer science, mathematics, finance or related field and 2 years of industry experience. (in lieu of stated education and experience, will accept bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in stated fields and at least 5 years of stated experience). Must have at least 2 years of experience working with the following technologies: windows, msoffice, sql query, vba, statistical tool such as mathematica or matlab, and python scripting. Must also have experience with fixed income asset classes such as mbs, municipal, bond futures, or inflation protected securities. Must have or be working toward certified financial analyst or caia or frm designation. (Mon. – Fri. 9-5). This position qualifies for the internal FactSet employee referral program.
