ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Segment HR Leader, the Human Resources Generalist – Corporate Finance will support talent strategy and operations for the North America Corporate Finance/Restructuring segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of partnering closely with staff and management to promote HR policies and procedures and talent management and development in a dynamic, professional services environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Talent Management:

Act as point person for segment performance management process, including setting overall calendar and due dates. Support managers and coaches in providing continuous feedback and advise on career and skills development, coaching discussions, and performance improvement plans. Guide professionals in the adoption and use of FTI’s talent development system. Assist with promotion and bonus recommendations. Assist performance managers and coaches in aligning training opportunities with aspirational staffing goals and skills gaps.

Recruiting:

Liaise with campus and experienced hire recruiters on segment recruitment strategy, goals, and results. Advise hiring managers and recruiters in developing offers. Review potential offers for equity and manage approval process.

Employee Relations:

Provide counsel, assistance, and problem-resolution services to employees at all levels, guided by company policies, labor-law legislation, and state and federal agency requirements.

HR Analytics and Staffing:

Maintain credentials tracking. Serve as back-up for resource utilization forecasting. Serve as back-up for staffing. Maintain Concordia database including new hire emails.

HR Policy Interpretation:

Help develop, support, and communicate policies and processes to staff. Respond to employee questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner. Partner with segment HR team and firm-wide HR leadership on executing ad hoc projects and programmatic initiatives to promote a high performance culture.

HR Strategy:

Partner with segment operations team and segment leadership on special projects in support of business strategy. Create and maintain segment HR-related content on company intranet.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience. Ability to work as needed especially during peak times to meet deadlines. Ability to travel.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

PHR/SPHR certified Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment Experience across multiple HR functions including HR data updates, performance management, compensation, and recruiting Working knowledge of work visa sponsorship petitions Demonstrated effectiveness in supporting multiple business leaders, working across varied practice areas Ability to build strong client relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solve A strong team player with the ability to work in a cooperative manner with internal clients and colleagues at all levels as well as independently Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding, high expectation environment while maintaining accuracy Credible, adaptable, and someone who demonstrates resourcefulness, strong initiative and ownership Demonstrated ability to successfully manage conflict and ambiguity High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times Proven ability to synthesize data and prepare complex reports Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PPT and Word
