We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Dynapar team in Gurnee, IL. In this role, you will act as a technical liaison between customer requirements and the engineering team bringing customer concepts to life!
You will be exposed to multiple functions with the organization and become familiar with Dynapar’s portfolio of products and provide technical assistance to customers on product selection, customizations possible and integrations with other complementary offerings to realize customer application needs. You will also gain experience interacting with customers, qualifying inbound leads and the overall sales funnel management process.
Working under the guidance of the sustaining engineering manager, you will be hands-on researching options for customers, documenting the solution, vetting out the solution with the engineering manager and recommending the proposal to incoming customer questions.Interactions with customers will primarily be via phone calls both inbound and outbound as well as webex meetings, but occasional domestic may be required to vet out applications and participate in trade shows as the technical specialist. Travel is estimated at 10-20%.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Equivalent related military experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Associates degree in electrical/electronics along with relevant work experience will also be considered.

Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including technical writing and presentation skills. Willingness and ability to communicate with customers over the phone is a must.
The successful candidate will display a driven attitude and capacity towards learning and mastering feedback sensors and remote vibration monitoring technology, and applying practical electrical or electronics knowledge learned in class, previous employment or related military experience.
+ Strong organizational time management skills with a team approach
+ 3D Modeling Experience preferred but not required (Creo, SolidWorks)
+ Related Experience in the automation field a plus
+ Some experience in technical support, applications engineering or customer facing experience is preferred but not required.
