Postdoctoral position in the areas of optimization, applied mathematics, and scientific computing\. This position is connected with the recently awarded DOE Early Career Research Program “Data\-Driven Optimization under Uncertainty: Parallel Algorithms and Solver”\. Candidate will address software/algorithm development and/or theory in areas of interest to the applied mathematics and numerical software group\.

Candidates will possess a Doctorate Degree before starting in this role\. Candidates should have expertise in one or more of the following: Robust optimization, stochastic optimization, and dynamic programming; Linear/nonlinear/integer programming and Parallel and distributed computing algorithms for scientific and high\-performance computing\. Also required is considerable knowledge in one or more of the following areas: modeling, algorithms, and software development in numerical optimization\. Good proficiency levels in scientific programming languages \(e\.g\., C, C\\\) are also required\. Experience with Julia, parallel computing, large\-scale computational science, energy systems and/or environmental applications is a plus\.
