The Data Strategy & Analytics Implementation Manager will help manage and drive the execution of high impact initiatives that are identified throughout the fiscal year requiring a high level of data and analytics or cross-functional support. This role will span across all functions within the Greater North America (GNA) organization and will report to the Sr. Director of Data Strategy & Analytics. The Implementation Manager’s role will be integral to ensuring many highly complex initiatives are achieved on-time and to completion through a structured process and well-coordinated approach. This specific role is new to the organization, and is an expansion on the skill set and capabilities currently utilized by our existing project managers with a focus and priority on data systems, tools, and outputs. These individuals will be expert Project Management Professionals (PMPs) focused on deploying new processes and governance to leveraging data and analytics to solve the most challenging and pressing needs of the business, and will be expected to leverage their prior experience to provide support when needed on the design and build of new tools, reports, and processes. Furthermore, this role will be instrumental in driving better performance and accountability across the organization, and will serve as the change management agents to drive greater efficiencies for GNA. The ideal candidate will be someone who is very structured and process oriented with strong business and personal skills to manage and be accountable for these complex requests.

+ Identify and manage all aspects of special projects for GNA including: assessing the size, scope and required investment to implement each initiative, staffing project teams to complete the work, developing milestones and proposed timelines by when these activities are to be achieved. The Implementation Manager should view the role as an extension of the Sr. Director, and serve as the day-to-day SPOC for managing and executing his/her assigned initiative

+ Work alongside functional resources to alleviate bandwidth and capacity constraints from base business activities to ensure initiatives that have been identified and prioritized by GNA leadership are not delayed or abandoned.

+ Develop and implement best practices related to project management including: improved processes and procedures, standardized templates for benefits and milestone tracking, timeline and activity management, and training and skills alignment to ensure initiatives are achieved. Help identify areas of opportunity that can be improved by closing the skills gap via training, coursework, and project management professional (PMP) credentialing.

+ Identify key metrics and KPIs to track progress and adoption of new processes and execution of priority initiatives to ensure success can be effectively measured and tracked. Hold project teams accountable to meet timelines and escalate issues to GNA leadership when roadblocks or delays are met

+ Own and maintain pipeline of GNA initiatives and prioritize cross-functional and/or complex challenges facing the business in order to maximize impact to the business. Assist Sr. Director and the SLT on the vetting and prioritization of potential data and analytics projects.

Required Skills and Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, business, process improvement or relevant field of study. MBA or Masters and/or certification (PMP, Six Sigma) in project management or process improvement.

+ The DS&A Implementation Manager will typically have 5+ years of experience as a PMP, consultant, and/or deep experience leading operational transformations. MBA or a background in process/continuous improvement with a lens towards using data and analytics to solve operational challenges would be a plus.

+ Must be highly proficient at organizing and managing project teams and cross-functional workstreams in a well-structured and methodical approach. Experience in a similar role or leading transformations within the food industry and/or similar sized organization is a plus.

+ Self-motivated and able to manage multiple initiatives at once with minimal guidance and oversight. A true self-starter that sees the “big picture” and is able to present information so the target audience can react and make decisions from the information. Ability to leverage previously developed and implemented project management best practices, templates and training materials into the new role to bring speed and credibility to the process.

+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to be able to gain buy-in across the organization while being able to effectively manage project teams. Ability to easily articulate a project management vision and approach to solving complex operational challenges and finding ways McCain can improve its performance is a plus.

+ Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Knowledge of SAP, TMS / IBP, FRM / PLM and other ancillary systems that are currently being used in McCain GNA in order to effectively communicate and drive process change is a strong plus.
