Thermoforming Operator/ Router

WeatherTech, a leading manufacturer of American Made Automotive Accessories, is seeking a well-qualified Thermoforming Operator/ Router to contribute to the production process by using a handheld pneumatic routing tool to trim excess material from thermoformed parts.

· Base rate of pay starting at $17 per hour. Additional compensation: $1.00 per hour 2nd shift differential / $1.50 per hour 3rd shift differential

As a Thermoforming Operator/ Router you will

Retrieve thermoformed parts from conveyor belt and move them to trimming table
Use a routing tool to circumnavigate the entire part to cut it out to specific form
Use a trimming knife to trim excess material from the part that was not removed with the routing tool
Inspect parts to ensure it meets quality standards; notify Production Leads of any defects/substandard parts
Move scrap material to designated scrap bins
Rotate as needed to perform other job tasks in the Production process, including but not limited to, loading material into the machine, operating a Tox Press, and packing product
Train new and existing team members on different functions of the production area to ensure all are able to perform all tasks properly; share knowledge and best practices to help aid efficiency and productivity
Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, clean and maintain equipment
Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualified Candidates will

Have 1 year prior experience in a manufacturing environment
Be able to read and understand verbal and written work orders/instructions
Have a high degree of attention to prevent accidents and injuries
Be dependable, with excellent attendance record
Be fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States
