Set Up Technician

WeatherTech, a leading manufacturer of American made automotive accessories, is seeking a well-qualified Set Up Technician to promptly and accurately set up/change over, start, and monitor processes of injection molding and thermoforming machines in the production department.

This is a great opportunity to join our 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift team

· Base pay starting at $18 per hour or more, depending on experience

· Additional compensation: $1.00 per hour 2nd shift differential / $1.50 per hour 3rd shift differential

As a Set Up Technician you will

Operate overhead cranes, sit down forklifts, reach trucks, and manual lifting devices to move molds and any other required items around the production facility
Read and understand product briefs and process sheets to ensure accuracy in machine set up
Operate HMI/MIU and robots/robotics lines
Install and remove molds from machines
Set and adjust all necessary components on the machine to ensure optimal and accurate operation
Clean and inspect molds between each use; report any damage to Set Up Lead and Quality Department, send out any damaged molds for repair
Verify material blenders are programmed correctly for mixed colors; climb a ladder and stand on platform to calibrate blender as needed
Install, repair, or replace end of arm tooling for robotic machines
Rebuild water, air, and vacuum lines as needed
Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks
Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, clean and maintain equipment
Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
Work weekends and overtime, as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualified Candidates will

Have at least 2 years of steady recent machine set up experience related to the role as outlined above
Have 1 year of prior experience operating powered industrial vehicles (forklift, reach truck)
Have great attendance and punctuality
Be an excellent performer; deliver high quality results consistently
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
Be able to work well with and motivate a team
Successfully complete the WeatherTech Forklift Certification Program upon hire, including a written exam and hands on driving evaluation
Be fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States
