Process Technician

WeatherTech, a leading manufacturer of American made automotive accessories, is seeking well-qualified Process Technicians to maintain injection molding manufacturing process equipment and ensure such machinery operates in a safe and efficient manner.

· Base pay starting at $20 per hour or more, depending on experience

· Additional compensation: $1.50 per hour 2nd shift differential

As a Process Technician you will

Read and understand product briefs and process sheets to ensure accuracy in machine operations
Confirm correct job is set up on assigned machine per production schedule, and ensure mold number, material color, and tooling is set up properly
Operate HMI/MIU to adjust and optimize process numbers before and during each job on injection molding machines
Program 3-axis robots; install or build end of arm tooling as needed
Accurately monitor and adjust cushion pressures from injection
Assist in setting up of tooling as needed
Operate a crane hoist to perform mold changes
Climb into, under, and on machines; visually inspect the alignment of robots/molds
Visually and physically inspect parts for defects; make adjustments to process to ensure parts conform to quality standards
Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks
Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, clean and maintain equipment
Work weekends and overtime, as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualified Candidates will

Have at least 2 years of recent machine set up experience and 1 year of prior experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (forklift, reach truck)
Have knowledge of Plastics Injection Molding
Be experienced with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic processes in a manufacturing environment
Possess basic math, measuring, and computer skills required
Have great attendance and punctuality
Be an excellent performer; deliver high quality results consistently
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
Be able to work well with and motivate a team
Be fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States
