+ Baxter’s Strategic Planning and Corporate Finance team is a high-performing and highly visible team responsible for leading the strategic planning process and capital allocation for the total company. In addition, the team acts as a critical business partner to the CEO, CFO, region presidents, and business unit heads by providing financial insights into company performance and trajectory including Total Shareholder Return (TSR) modeling and regional/business unit profitability.

Critical Responsibilities

+ Provide analytical support for key financial models (regional business/unit profitability and Total Shareholder Return) including key inputs, cost allocations, etc.

+ Act as the team expert on Baxter financial systems and reporting processes

+ Competitive benchmarking of Baxter’s key financial and operational metrics versus our MedTech peers

+ Support Senior Manager in various Strategic Planning, Capital Allocation, Board of Directors prep including development of effective presentation materials

+ Provide ad-hoc financial and strategic analyses for senior leadership

Experience / Education

+ Experience in management consulting, investment banking, finance development program, FP&A, or corporate strategy function; 3+ years of total work experience

+ Prior Corporate Finance and FP&A experience a plus

+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Engineering

Critical Competencies

+ Appetite for learning and continuous improvement; able to accept and internalize feedback

+ Detail-oriented, able to be error-free in complex analytics and financial data management

+ Strong financial and business acumen; familiar with financial systems (JD Edwards, BaxIntel, etc.) and various aspects of financial reporting

+ Ability to creatively and logically solve challenges and navigate roadblocks

+ 80/20 work approach, ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple on-going projects

+ Comfortable/thrives in ambiguous/rapidly-evolving situations

+ Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
