Job Description

Kelly Services is recruiting for a Logistics Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a Global Chemical Company in Elk Grove Village, IL. This is a long term assignment, with benefit plan and paid time off provided. Pay $18.50 an hour. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Primary Responsibilities: Performing cycle counting of raw materials & inventory, housekeeping, answering in-coming phone calls, receiving of goods in SAP, payroll & time entering, checking of production records for material usage variances, material staging for production or shipping, double checking of shipping paperwork & product labeling, and preparing shipping documentation for deliveries, other activities as assigned by supervision. Longer term the candidate would cross train to be a full back-up to the logistics activity coordinator. Once trained fully in logistics, they will continue to cross-train in other departments at the site as a back-up. This would include training for basic lab tests for production, as well as backing up the site’s finished goods packager. Ideal candidate would have IATA certification or be IATA trained within 60 days. Candidate should also be able to safely operator a fork lift. Skill Requirements: MS Office skills with SAP preferred IATA certification preferred Fork Truck operation experience preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Exceptional Attention to Detail Self-motivating and hard working Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED Physical Requirements: Light to moderate physical effort required Lifting required occasionally of up to 50 pounds Required to wear appropriate PPE Work Environment: Work performed in a plant environment Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemical and other elements Due to the high volume of responses anticipate, only qualified candidates will be contacted.
