KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) is a consulting engineering firm, internationally recognized as a leading expert in protective coatings and linings. KTA has the largest staff of NACE-trained coatings inspectors providing 3rd-party Quality Assurance and Quality Control services during coatings application.
KTA’s coating inspection services are growing and the company needs a talented Project Manager in the central/middle states of the U.S. to support business development, maximize client satisfaction, and ensure project quality and delivery within the scope of services and budget. In twelve months, you will know you have been successful when you have:
• Developed scope of services and project cost estimates/budgets;
• Contributed to proposal preparation, report writing, and follow-up;
• Provided oversight of field inspection staff;
• Contacted current and prospective clients to maintain satisfaction and grow new business;
• Performed inspection and testing of painted and concrete substrates;
• Participated in training and career development opportunities; and
• Enhanced KTA’s industry presence through active participation in industry organizations and committees.
This position requires a combination of excellent written and oral communication skills, thirst for client engagement, and field coatings experience. A Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ coatings industry-related experience along with Project Management in an industrial paint contracting or consulting business is preferred. NACE CIP Level III, SSPC Bridge Coatings Inspector Level 1 and C3, and nuclear experience are desirable. The Project Manager will likely work out of the central U.S. region, but other locations may be considered.

Physical requirements: Close, distance, depth vision and ability to adjust focus; ability to hear, speak, work in confined spaces and walk on uneven terrain, wear a respirator, and safely lift 25 lbs.; ability to climb 150+ ft. on ladders and high structures; willingness to travel and ability to work outside (including inclement weather).
