Clerk I – Medical Data Entry
Kelly Services is seeking a talented Clerk I for our top client in Westchester, IL. Seeking candidates with 1 year medical data entry in a fast pace environment of high standards. This is a long-term contract role and a great opportunity for someone to gain skills and experience to take their career to the next level!
Shift: Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Pay $15.75 hr
The Clerk I must be able to work in fast pace, professional call center environment. Required to meet standard performance metrics daily across all work functions; flexible and willing to adapt to change according to business needs. Standard metric is 130+ work functions. Basic functionality of PC required and able to multi-task between multiple sources of information with attention to detail.
In this role you will:
+ Responsible for providing basic clerical activities in support of a department.\t
+ Primary duties may include but are not limited to:\t
+ Makes and receives phone calls to exchange information to accomplish tasks.\t
+ Routinely files work, reports, etc. in case files and designated areas.\t
+ Sorts, labels, alphabetizes documents/files, etc. for others to execute work effort.\t
+ Extracts, sorts, preps, batches and routes documents within the company as needed.\t
+ Operates camera/scanner and retrieves previously scanned information as needed.\t
+ Copies incoming and outgoing correspondence.\t
+ Use of dual monitors/screens\t
+ Multi-tasking between several computer applications and windows open at once.
+ Requires a High School diploma or GED;\t
+ up to 1 year of related work experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.\t
+ MUST have a keen eye for detail.\t
+ Ability to move swiftly and accurately.\t
+ Knowledge of data entry ideally in a healthcare environment.\t
+ UM review, patient registration, etc. a plus\t
+ Preferably someone who has dealt with PHI or HIPPA\t
+ Medical terminology is great, but not required.\t
+ Basic analytical, communication and vocational skills and ability to operate basic equipment required\t
+ Ability to retain a wealth of information and display understanding\t
+ positive change agent\t
+ receptive to consistent feedback and coaching for success in role
