Job Profile Summary

Computer Aid, Inc., (CAI) an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking anOracle EBS Techno Functional Team Lead for a long-term support engagement in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.

CAI would like to speak to talented leaders who are ready for a challenging, rewarding, long term engagement. As a Team Lead, you will manage a team of Techno Functional Developers and DBAs in supporting our client’s Oracle EBS modules (12.1.3) and OBIEE/BI Publisher. Ideal candidates aspire to grow their techno functional, leadership, and management skills. This position provides excellent mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualified candidates will have a strong background in Oracle R12.1.3 EBS Financials, HRMS/HRSS, Procurement, or Supply Chain modules, experience with Oracle databases, and some experience with OBIEE/BI Publisher.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Team Lead will be responsible overseeing the a team of three (3) developers, one (1) OBIEE admin/developer, and one (1) DBA, as well as be responsible for resolving code fixes and designing and developing customizations and extensions in Oracle R12.1.3 EBS. In addition, the Team Lead will provide support for other applications, as assigned. The specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Directing the daily operations of the application support team including developing standards, establishing priorities, and setting deadlines to meet the client’s needs
  • Owning client relationships by meeting and communicating with key stakeholders (e.g…, department heads, managers, vendors, end users, etc.) to solicit cooperation and resolve problems
  • Mentoring and developing team members, and empowering them to perform excellent work with minimal supervision
  • Ensuring the team achieves 100% SLA compliance, and reporting team performance and outcomes to the client on an established schedule (e.g…, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.)
  • Overseeing new initiatives that expand services to support new applications by participating in the assessment and transition of the applications as they are added to scope
  • Fostering a culture of constant professional improvement and growth, perpetuating hard work, self-leadership, and empowerment
  • Creating the technical and functional design and documentation to meet the client’s requirements
  • Configuring the application and creating custom code
  • Identifying issues and resolving to address system performance and bugs
  • Gathering and documenting requirements
  • Created and maintain interfaces to 3rd party applications
  • Approving and executing test scripts

Computer Aid follows a defined methodology for delivering Oracle support. This methodology is required by our client.

Qualifications

Experience/Education Required

  • Experience successfully managing and delivering IT support services of similar scope involving enterprise application(s)
  • Experience with project management and the SDLC process
  • Experience using Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle databases, and OBIEE/BI Publisher (or other reporting tools) desired
  • Experience in the Public Sector or with Public Sector clients desired
  • 6-10 years of strong Oracle EBS development experience
  • Oracle R12.1.3 expertise in one or more of these specific modules is required

Financials (General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management);
HRMS/HR Self-Service
Procurement/Advanced Procurement; or
Enterprise Asset Management, Work-in-process, and Bill of Materials

  • Experience with monthly and year-end financial close management, budgeting, planning, and forecasting

Skills Required

  • Ability to foster the client relationship, provide excellent customer service, handle client escalations, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfaction
  • Ability to plan work, allocate resources, and coordinate people
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as exceptional analytical and time management capabilities
  • Knowledge of standard IT governance/compliance concepts
  • Ability to think critically about problems and choose the most appropriate actions
  • Ability to work well with both technical and non-technical people
  • Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, IT teams, departments and levels
  • Possess strong technical development expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Scripting, Interfaces, Workflows, Forms, Reports, OAF,XML publisher, AME, and other technologies in the Oracle landscape HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are preferred skills
  • Ability to anticipate and proactively handle issues
  • Ability to adhere to SDLC standards
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated team leadership
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as exceptional analytical and time management capabilities
  • Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term support objectives

Other Requirements

This is a long-term support engagement where the day-to-day work must be performed at the client site. Travel to and from the client site is not reimbursed.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
