Job Description

Baxalta US Inc., a Takeda company, is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison II – Hematology – Southwest with the following duties: support analysis of current situation in country; cooperate cross-functionally with established structures and governance; provide input into and execute strategy (e.g. country); provide input into budgeting planning; ensure activities are carried out in a compliant manner; conform with defined GMA culture and values; maintain personal expertise in relevant disease areas, MSL best practices and compliance guidelines; execute MSL tactics as outlined in Medical Affairs strategies; provide scientific input and participate in local medical and cross-functional activities; identify opportunities to partner with Health Care Providers (HCPs) on disease state and therapeutic initiatives through education, publication, and research; provide advanced disease state and scientific based product information tailored to specific audiences by selectively utilizing resources that foster scientific exchange; interact with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to establish strategic alliances and maintain clinical /scientific relationships with medical professionals and other members of the scientific community; interact with internal cross-functional partners to bring clinical expertise through training, project team and resource development in support of the local Medical Affairs plan; participate in high level training sessions, medical congresses, supporting with provision of scientific/medical information and clinical and scientific presentations. May telecommute up to 100% from any location in the U.S. Travel up to 70%.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Medicine or related plus 4 years related experience. Will accept any level of experience in the following required skills: provide advanced disease state and scientific based product information tailored to specific audiences by selectively utilizing resources that foster scientific exchange; interact with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to establish strategic alliances and maintain clinical /scientific relationships with medical professionals and other members of the scientific community; interact with internal cross-functional partners to bring clinical expertise through training, project team and resource development in support of the local Medical Affairs plan; participate in high level training sessions, medical congresses, supporting with provision of scientific/medical information and clinical and scientific presentations. May telecommute up to 100% from any location in the U.S. Travel up to 70%.
