Senior Application Analyst Epic
+ The Epic Senior Analyst of Patient Access Modules provides hands-on expertise to deploy solutions for the Rush enterprise.
+ The IS Senior Analyst works as a member of the Clinical Information Systems team that will support Epic’s specialty applications such as Eligibility, Grand Central, Prelude, Cadence, and Referrals, as well as other applications requested by Rush.
+ Under minimal supervision, analyzes problems in terms of Rush workflows/policies/procedures, Epic functionality, end-user knowledge, and training requirements. He/she is a recognized expert for his/her application(s) and applies knowledge of Epic functionality to address Rush issues.
+ Participates in end-user design and validation meetings and supports roll-out of new implementations by participation in end-user acceptance testing, design of training modules, integrated testing and command center support.
+ Supports live applications and sites by sharing on-call support, monitoring Help Desk tickets and designing enhancement and optimization solutions.
+ Performs analysis, design, development and maintenance of Epic’s specialty applications such as Grand Central and Cadence as well as other hospital-related applications
+ Configures vendor applications and products
+ Maintains system documentation and develops system specifications and procedures
+ Defines and documents user requirements
+ Learns and understands user department practices and procedures
+ Applies project planning and project management methodologies
+ Coordinates and leads short duration projects; monitoring project process, progress and results
+ Develops test plans, prepares test data and performs system testing
+ Provides on-site user support during implementations
+ Takes on-call for system application support at scheduled times
+ Audits data entered by end users
+ Troubleshoots and tracks issues and problems
+ Applies systems development methodology to solve problems
+ Handles multiple assignments simultaneously
+ Follows Change Management processes
+ Collaborates with colleagues
+ Upgrades professional knowledge
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Minimum 4 years of related experience
+ Experience with one of the following Epic modules highly desirable: Grand Central, Cadence certification optional
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems or health care related field
+ Experience working in a hospital or other health care organization desirable
+ Experience implementing industry best practices to drive optimized operations
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills with technical and clinical audiences
+ Excellent analytical skills
+ Exceptional organizational skills to facilitate work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
+ Able to articulate customer business problems
+ Strong technical command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office suite, departmental applications)
