Landscaper/Groundskeeper. Work is principally at various work locations in Madison County/St. Clair County Illinois. Other work sites will be in Monroe County and other Illinois counties in the St. Louis, MO-IL Metropolitan Statistical Area. Some minimal work will be in St. Louis City and St. Louis County (anticipated 10% or less). Work is temporary full time employment 1/14/2020 to 10/14/2020 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, no overtime. Up to 14 full time temporary positions to be filled. Employer will offer hourly wage of at least $15.30 using a single workweek as standard to compute wages, wages to be paid, no less frequently than every two weeks, all deductions required by law to be made from gross wages by employer. Workers are guaranteed work for a minimum of three-fourths of all works days contained in each 12 week period of employment contemplated in this work order. Employer will make reimbursement to workers who complete at least 50 percent of work term certified as indicated above for subsistence and travel from home to place of employment if relocating from outside Madison or St. Clair Counties in Illinois and outside the St. Louis Metropolitan SMA and will pay for return home transportation and subsistence costs if the worker completes work for the entire term of certified employment or is dismissed from employment early. Travel reimbursement to be the lowest cost bus fare and (and overnight lodging if required) between the Employer’s place of business in Madison County Illinois and worker’s home. Subsistence reimbursement to be by cash stipend limited to a minimum of $12.46 per day and a maximum amount verified by receipts of $55.00 per day of travel plus. Employer will also reimburse the worker for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other H-2b related processing fees (excluding worker passport fees) incurred by the worker within the first week of work. Requirements: Able-bodied to use commercial mowers, leaf blowers, chain saws, smaller tractors, electric clippers, sod cutters and pruning saws and other landscaping mechanical equipment. No particular formal education or degree required. No training provided, good hand/eye coordination; ability to lift and carry min. of 30 to 50 pounds of material or equipment; must be able to tolerate temperature extremes consistent with working outside in a wide variety of weather conditions throughout the year in Southwestern Illinois (well over 90 degrees and well under 32 degrees Fahrenheit possible); Must have own reliable transportation and valid driver license or be eligible to apply for one if hired. All tools of trade and supplies and equipment required to complete job duties to be provided by Employer without charge or deposit. Must pass drug test and background check if hired.
