Shipping Customer Service Lead Summary:

This Shipping Customer Service Lead position requires daily interaction with trucking agents and drivers, internal company sales agents and external company clients. Daily interaction via e-mail, phone and customer. TMS systems are required. Excellent organizational and relationship skills and accurate processing ability are required to exceed customer expectations in fulfilling orders in a timely and effective manner.

The successful candidate will be: Self-motivated, detail oriented, highly communicative and able to take ownership and be highly flexible in a dynamic and highly challenging physical warehouse environment. Follow-up and personal accountability will play a critical role in exceeding customer expectations.

Shipping Customer Service Lead Responsibilities
• Communicate with Internal Sales agents to prepare orders for shipment
• Coordinate with warehouse routing team to ready and stage goods for transport
• Execute outbound shipping process with customer on order-by-order basis
• Prepare outbound shipment manifests and complete all required paperwork domestic and international
• Maintain flow of communication regarding shipments/deliveries to customers
• Manage & schedule LTL and Truckload shipments, daily
• Negotiate and quote LTL & truckload rates with brokers & logistics and shipping companies
• Record shipments in BOL Spreadsheet with quote, Sales Order and Purchase Orders
• Utilize various 3rd party TMS systems effectively
• Reconcile freight billing monthly against quoted and billed accounts

Shipping Customer Service Lead Requirements:

• Ability to demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service standards
• 3-5 years of warehouse/distribution experience with a Customer Service capacity
• Strong organizational, communicational and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Preferred skills: E-Mail, Word/XL, web-based TMS systems
• Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred

Shipping Customer Service Lead Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Shipping Customer Service Lead Salary & Benefits:
• $18-$19 per hour DOE
