Designer II

A Senior Digital Designer at Upshot Agency works within, and across, a team of diverse problem solvers. You will work with many different brands, services and digital mediums to help solve complex design problems. You will be expected to participate across the process – from concepting and prototyping to building out large experiences as well as mobile, email and banner creative projects. Your background should run the gamut from site to mobile, ecomm to campaign or promotion, startup to enterprise. Responsibilities:

+ Work with a wide range of creative styles and brands both client and agency focused.

+ Design for diverse and strategic brand and digital experiences.

+ Participate in brainstorms and concept development.

+ Manage projects from beginning to end, create and manage timelines.

+ Collaborate with Creative Director, Art Directors and Copywriters to revise work and refine concepts.

+ Firm understanding of design fundamentals, good design trends and the ability to translate these skills into interactive experiences for our clients

+ Digital best practices, including components of brand expression and production processes; leveraging your UI and UX chops at the same time.

+ Partner with other group members (both creative and account) to ensure high-quality creative products on a constant basis that maintains the integrity of art concept to ensure they fit the client, brand, and retailer objectives.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degreeor equivalent job-related experience required

+ 5+ years of experience in similar industry. Use of computer tools/design tools used to perform the role

+ A deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Prototyping tools

+ Very good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Pattern Libraries (coding is not a requirement.)

+ Attention to detail and follow through

+ Good sense of design and layout

Position Summary

The Designer II uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, films, packaging, and informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlets such as websites and CD-ROMs.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

+ Creates innovative graphic art materials to best promote the client’s brand

+ Work with a wide range of creative styles and brands both client and agency focused

+ Have a keen creative eye to stage photographs and videos through the setup of lighting and backdrops

+ Participate in brainstorms and concept development

+ Manage projects from beginning to end, create and manage timelines

+ Revise and create presentation graphics, icons, slides that are on brand

+ Design and create content, banner ads, landing pages and other formats of digital content for a variety of brands

+ Collaborate with Creative Director, Art Directors and Copywriters to revise work and refine concepts

+ Express complex ideas in a simple, clever and appealing way

+ Partner with other group members (both creative and account) to ensure high quality creative products on a constant basis that maintains the integrity of art concept to ensure they fit the client, brand, and retailer objectives

Minimum Qualifications
