Job Description

Web Accessibility Tester Role:

  • Understanding Testing Methodologies
  • Ongoing knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
  • Experience in manual functional and compatibility testing experience in writing test scenarios and test cases? familiarity with defect management
  • The purpose of this testing will be to reduce the number of critical and high end WCAG 2.0 AA defects found in release candidate environments (RC).
  • Strong Oral and Written skills (MUST be able to speak English clearly)
  • Support skills including working with other departments in the company
Skill and Experience.
  • Web accessibility assessment and remediation experience including the detailed knowledge of WCAG 21 and Section 508 accessibility standards and requirements
  • Experience of providing the UXDesign level accessibility recommendations and reviews
  • Experience in working with accessibility tools technologies such as JAWS NVDA Talkback Voiceover WAVE WAT Chromebox etc.
  • Familiarity with Accessibility Management Platforms
  • Knowledge and experience and ability to discuss and recommend the WAIARIA techniques and solutions for accessibility issues
  • Experience using common assistive technologies including screen readers magnifiers and voice recognition products
  • Experience conducting accessibility testing on multiple platforms and browsers including iOS and Android mobile devices ? Detailed knowledge on WCAG 2.0 AA standard
  • Experience/Expertise using shortcuts and keystrokes
  • Experience/Expertise with JAWS and NVDA for Windows, and VoiceOver for iOS
  • Ability to interpret and advice based on WCAG 2.0 AA standards
Experience/skills preferred:
  • Certified IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS)
  • Familiarity with Accessibility Management Platform (AMP)
  • Experience setting-up and configuring test tools and assistive devices for testing, such as JAWS and NVDA
  • Knowledge on various desktop opera
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
