About the Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to help our Dev/QA/DevOps teams. In this role, you will actively participate with an existing group of systems engineers, developers, and operations team to design, develop, implement, and optimize complete end-to-end solutions. The integration engineer develops and implements solutions integrating applications across the enterprise or between businesses. Evaluates existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs

Job Summary:

The integration engineer position performs moderately difficult research, design, and systems engineering assignments and responds to system management alerts to handle system/operations exceptions, within the assigned enterprise systems of product offerings. This position is responsible for working with customers in b2b connectivity along with the underlying support functions.

Experience (US Only) and Education:
• 3+ years of Systems Engineering and/or development experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage relationships with key customers’ IT departments and customers; provide on-going guidance to existing customers to ensure that all of our products continue to operate efficiently.
• Work with various financial institutions and agencies for system integration.
• Work with Technical Support Group, Database Administration Group, Product Development Group, and Infrastructure group to drive most optimal solution architecture within each client implementation.
• Create documentation for the solutions provided as needed.
• Communicate with functional area managers, project sponsors, and/or consultants regarding status of specific projects.
• Work with customers on user acceptance testing and resolve issues during the integration process.
• Develop/improve integration procedures with customers/clients.
• Assist in the support of the integrated systems.
• Work closely with the development team in the change management life cycle.
• Participate in the SDLC as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Technical Experience Required:
• 3 years of Dev/DevOps/Systems Engineer experience
• Understanding of storage systems, Linux kernel, UNIX kernel, UNIX file system, and Windows infrastructure.
• Program installation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of virtual server environments and thin clients.
• Knowledge of scripts for automation (bash, sh, groovy).
• Understanding of system and problem management tools.
• Web Services experience (Rest and SOAP)
XML Schema and testing tools experience (XSD, xmllint)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good knowledge of enterprise level networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, SFTP, Proxy, Firewalls) is plus
• Experience working with SSL/TLS technology.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnosing system problems, and support skills for any range of software products highly desired.
• 3 + years of experience in Java based application servers such as Tomcat, Wildfly, WebSphere, and Web Logic
• Knowledge of Operating Systems including Linux/UNIX required, scripting skills preferred (Bash, shell, Python, Groovy).
• Experience with java builds via maven.
• Able to manage GIT or SVN version control.
• Some exposure to relational database systems including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Automated build and deployments with Git/Jenkins/etc (a plus).
• Hands on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
• 1 – 3 years’ experience working within the financial services sector is a plus.
