Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic self-starter for a full-time Patient Service Rep/Receptionist position at our Danville Family Medicine location. This team member will perform reception duties to include patient check-in, answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays and assisting with insurance inquiries.

Job Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in an efficient, professional and courteous manner and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
Demonstrate the ability to promptly answer a high volume of phone calls and schedule patient appointments with providers.
Register new patients and address any financial issues regarding that patient.
Provide check in process for patients including verifying and updating necessary demographic and insurance information.
Maintain provider schedules.
Keep a neat and orderly work and lobby area.
Maintain relevant office supplies for department effectiveness.
Distribute mail to appropriate staff members.
Schedule visits, tests, labs and appointments, as requested.
Post any payments including co-payments, payments toward account balances, collections, etc.
Maintain and balance payment drawer at end of day including cash, checks and charges.
Perform related work as required.
Stable work history, excellent computer and customer service skills required. Medical office experience preferred.
