Job Description

We have only one chance to make a first impression on and it’s our patient service representatives on the front line who are the first voice our patients hear.  At Christie Clinic, our patient service representatives demonstrate “We listen. We Care.” every day to those calling on the phone and visiting our offices.  Our receptionists treat each call with the utmost importance and with promptness connect with the team member to assist. In addition to creating a welcoming customer service environment, this position keeps our teams running at top performance by being organized and staying enthusiast.  The ideal candidate will be highly customer service-oriented, with excellent communications skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

We are currently seeking a full-time, Monday-Friday, Patient Service Representative position in our Dermatology department at our Main clinic.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in an efficient, professional and courteous manner and solicit customer feedback to improve service. 
Demonstrate the ability to promptly answer a high volume of phone calls and schedule patient appointments with providers.
Provide check-in process for patients.
Verify and update necessary demographic information.
Maintain provider schedules.
Keep a neat and orderly work and lobby area. 
Maintain relevant office supplies for department effectiveness.
Remain aware of provider’s erratic and unpredictable schedule.  Keep patients updated on provider’s schedule.
Contact patients in the event an appointment must be cancelled.
Receive payments using software system, balance daily and print off financial reports daily.
Create a monthly tally sheet of how many cosmetic procedures have been performed by the provider and esthetician and by product used.
Take medication refill requests or questions through the electronic medical record to be sent to the work list for the MOA or RN.
Offer patients information regarding the Patient Portal.  If interested, have patient fill out necessary paperwork to apply.
Perform related work as required.
