Top Ten Global Logistics provider has a great opportunity in Chicago for a Senior Manager of Risk, Insurance and Safety. The Senior Manager will be responsible for the U.S. Risk Management Strategy. Additionally, this role will direct and manage Safety and Security, manage and administer marine insurance, and manage the quality and performance of vendors and brokers to ensure effective Risk Management, Insurance Coverage as well as ensuring an effective Safety Program throughout the U.S.

+ Design and Implement Risk Management Strategies for all U.S. branches

+ Manage Insurance and annual renewal process for business units and facilities in the U.S.

+ Manage quality of work performed by vendors

+ Develops and supports monthly dashboard review process to review claims, accidents & injuries and analyze any potential issues or trends

+ Manage the invoice / payment process fees and claims billings.

+ Direct and manage the Company Safety program including Illness and Injury Prevention & Protection Program (IIPP); OSHA compliance, safety inspections & audits, training and reporting.

+ Lead and coordinate implementation of the Business Continuity Plan, BCP and Regional Risk Management program.

+ Collaborate with Legal Division to review contract indemnification and insurance requirements

+ Builds strong working relationships with all business units and the management team at the company by acting as an internal broker / consultant



+ At least 7-10 years of risk management /insurance and safety experience preferably in Freight Forwarding or related Industry.

+ BA or BS required. Advanced degree desirable (MBA, JD)

+ Required Professional certifications ARM, CPCU

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical skills

+ Must be personable and able to work in a collaborative manner with businesses, legal, etc.

+ PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Office

+ Data Analysis skills

+ Experience with RMIS

+ Working knowledge of the following insurance coverages; Property, Time Element coverages, Cargo Liability, Flood & Earthquake, Liability, Auto, Workers Compensation, Employment Practices Liability, Crime

+ Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA regulations.

+ Terms of International Trade, Laws & Terms on Transportation of Goods,

+ Strong communication and analytical skills are a must

+ Loss Prevention & Safety

+ Risk Quantification Techniques

+ Insurance & Reinsurance market mechanism & practices

+ General agency laws and state regulations.
