Robert Half Technology is looking for a Desktop Support Technician with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format to support the work of a company in the Financial Services field. If you are an articulate problem solver who loves to work in a challenging and positive environment, this may be the Desktop Support Technician role for you. Located in Chicago, this Desktop Support Analyst role is full-time in nature.

How you will make an impact

- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

- Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

- hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Settle computer problems, and offer suggestions on appropriate action/solutions

- Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

- Curate records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

- Preserve, inspect, and mend computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

Requirements

- Desktop support or related experience

- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows

- Hardware Troubleshooting experience

- Foundational knowledge in customer service

- Servicenow Application experience highly desired

- Strong familiarity with Basic Troubleshooting
