Position Summary:

The Radiation Pharma Technical Advisor has responsibility for coordinating technical support to key US Customers as follows:

Research and Development for Radiation Sterilization processes for Pharma Products

Development of radiation sterilization validation processes for Pharma Product and specialized Medical Devices

They will work closely with key customers, our Sales people, and the facilities to develop and optimize the processing of these customers within our Radiation sterilization technologies.

Reporting Structure:

The Radiation Pharma Technical Advisor reports directly to the Vice President of Radiation Technical Services.

Major Responsibilities:

The major areas of responsibility include the following:

  • Provide technical support to facilities, operations, and Sales in all radiation sterilization technologies, including gamma, e-beam and x-ray.
  • Work with Pharmaceutical and Medical Device customers to develop Radiation Sterilization Processes for their products.
  • Ensure the proper validation of the Radiation Sterilization process for Pharmaceutical products and specialized Medical Devices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant ISO requirements relating to radiation processing.
  • Ensure irradiation technology is implemented efficiently through effective internal liaison and liaison with customers and suppliers.
  • Coordinate, review, report, publish and present technical data internally, to customers, trade associations, regulators etc.
  • Provide support in customer and Regulatory audits.
  • Develop new applications for radiation processing.
  • Perform internal and external training in radiation, as required.


  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels, including ability to communicate complex technical data to non-technical staff

Educational Requirements and Experience:

  • University Degree in Materials Sciences, or related Scientific field
  • Experience in Materials Sciences/polymer/ and pharmaceutical products
  • Experience/knowledge of sterilization technology is an advantage
