Pre-Doctoral Dental Education
Department of Restorative Dentistry
University of Illinois at Chicago

The Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking qualified candidates for several faculty positions from 60% FTE to 100% FTE (full-time) in the non-tenure clinical track for the Pre-Doctoral education program. The Department seeks individuals with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary care and willingness to engage with all departments in the College. Responsibilities will include preclinical and clinical instruction in all aspects of the Restorative Sciences.

Duties:

1. Teach in predoctoral pre-clinical and clinical courses, inclusive of clinical responsibilities and patient care supervision
2. Participate in didactic instruction, seminars and conferences in the department
3. Advise, direct, and mentor predoctoral students
4. Collaborate with faculty and staff to maintain a respectful and positive learning environment
5. Participate in department and college committees
6. Participate in public service activities such as faculty practice
7. Participate in research and scholarship

Qualifications:

Qualifications include a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent and prior teaching experience. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Illinois. Candidates with training and/or documented experience in research will be preferred. Salary, and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications within the norms and criteria for faculty appointments in the Department of Restorative Dentistry.
