Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Senior Treasury Analyst for the Capital Management and Investment team to perform investment income planning and investment oversight. Specific duties include: acting as a point of contact for questions related to investments from various stakeholders (such as audit); building models for planning at business unit levels, allocating it to lower units, and liaising with different teams to gather data and align on numbers; performing adhoc variance, scenario analysis and presenting results to senior management; completing compliance oversight for investments; managing investment committee meetings, including preparing Treasury specific materials; supporting the wider team with capital and balance sheet management and rating agency management; and leading/supporting Treasury projects, including structuring of projects, ensuring projects run as per timeline, and reporting to steering committee. Position requires occasional travel within the U.S.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study, plus 8 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Senior Consultant, Assistant Manager – Finance Operations, Transaction Processing Specialist, Audit Officer, or similar position in Accounting or Finance. In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Senior Consultant, Assistant Manager – Finance Operations, Transaction Processing Specialist, Audit Officer, or similar position in Accounting or Finance. Specific experience must include: working in the insurance industry, including experience with various insurance functions and line of business and products; working in investments or accounting of investments; applying accounting or treasury principles, including IFRS accounting standards; performing complex financial modelling and analysis; working with general ledger, treasury transactions/workstations, financial reporting systems, or query tools; working in strategy or management consulting; leading projects/workstreams, including structuring of projects, defining deliverables, and monitoring progress; working across cross-functional and cross-geography teams; preparing and presenting materials to senior management or steering committee; and using verbal and written communication skills to demonstrate financial results. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the U.S.
