This position is responsible for providing high quality leadership in business development, service and operations of the branch to ensure that goals and standards are achieved.


Ensure that the branch is adequately staffed on a daily basis by hiring, training, and developing the team

Promote teamwork and employee participation in sales and service activities of the branch

Coach and motivate the team to create an environment for the employees to succeed

Effectively communicate and provide performance feedback and hold the team accountable to assigned goals

Develop and implement strategies and tactics to grow the branch’s business

Set clear objectives and structure and be able to measure results

Demonstrate initiative and lead by example

Provide superior customer experience to customers in person and over the phone

Be a problem solver and provide solutions and overcome customer service objections

Manage risk by ensuring bank policies and procedures are followed along with all regulatory and internal security procedures

Be timely in follow ups and in meeting customer and work deadlines

Ensure sound branch operations that result in satisfactory audits

Perform daily tasks, including teller and personal banking functions when necessary

Business Development:
Deepen client relationships to uncover opportunities and provide solutions

Engage in activities that leverage multiple sales partners in the branch

Utilize sales tools to build business and grow the bank’s market share

Perform and lead outside sales activities

Develop centers of influence/build referral base

Participate in organizations and events within your community

Work with business partners to maximize sales opportunities

Consistently work to meet and exceed sales goals and manage results


Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

This position requires the individual to take loan applications and close loans.

This position may require the employee to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) in order to comply with the federal Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act) and Regulation Z.Registration may consist of submission of personal information such as home address, social security number, gender, date and place of birth, employment history, among other things. Registration also requires employees to submit fingerprints and submit to a criminal background check. Renewal of the registration requirements may be required periodically throughout the term of the employment.

Minimum of 3 years of management within a financial services or retail bank environment is required.

Proven track record of successful leadership, business development and service.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and confidence when speaking with internal and external customers.

Familiarity with word processing programs preferred. Knowledge of spreadsheets and bank systems a plus.

Travel within the bank’s footprint, to assist other branches or attend meetings, training and seminars as scheduled.

A 40 – 50 hour work week not including after-hours community events.

Must be available to the branch during all working hours including Saturdays.
