Summary

WP Segment Specialist NonCommercial Chain

Responsible for providing client/customer support in assigned sales segment and prospecting new sales opportunities for assigned segment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

+ Execute segment sales goals and objectives; make geographically based sales calls selling clients items that apply to this segment

+ Design and implement sales strategies specifically targeted at growing market share for assigned segment

+ Foster and maintain strong client, customer and distributor relationships; regular communication with key clients

+ Monitor market intelligence, identify risks/opportunities and recommend solutions to senior management and assigned clients

+ Conduct business reviews with clients to ensure client needs are met

+ Collaborate with assigned clients, Client Team and Sales Operations personnel to achieve objectives

+ Plan sales calls based on quarterly objectives

+ Report all sales calls in FSP

+ Participate in food shows, product launches, client and industry meetings and product-oriented trainings when applicable

+ Respond timely to internal/external questions and information requests 55%

- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

+ Travel and Driving are essential duties and function of this job

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

5+ years of experience in the applicable product category; experience working with brokers and national manufacturers.

+ Experience and ability to work within software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes

+ ETL development experience using tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

+ Multidimensional database development experience using tools such as SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

+ Windows Server components including the registry, file systems, services, and system management tools

+ Cisco Call Manager / VoIP knowledge

+ Proficient in Project Management tools (i.e., MS Project) or similar project tool (s)

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office, field, retail store, or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections).
