Title: Solutions Architect III

Location: Chicago, IL

Position Responsibilities:

Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS Sales and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. Drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. Help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. Shape and execute strategies to build mindshare and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Database Administrator, Support Engineer, Systems Engineer or another related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications; architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on-premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java; experience with database architecture, performance tuning, and either big data or Hadoop. Domestic and/or international travel required up to 50%.
